This 90S+ fusion splicer kit from Fujikura consists of the fusion splicer itself, which is used to splice multiple lengths of fibre optic cable, as well as a carrying case/tray and a separable work tray with space for the cleaver, stripper and battery packs.
The splicer boasts 'Active Fusion Control Technology' which involves:
- Analysing the condition of both cleave end faces performing optimal fusion control, improving splice loss significantly.
- Analysing the fibre's brightness intensity during fusion, minimising effects from environmental changes.
- Automatically applying the optimum splice parameters depending on fibre type.
It also features 'Active Blade Management Technology' which means that the cleaver blade is automatically rotated when the splicer judges that the blade is worn (two cleavers can be connected at the same time). As well as this, the 90S+ displays the remaining blade life and informs the user when any changes have been made to height, position etc.
Other features of the 90S+ include:
- Automatic open-close wind protectors.
- Operation time reduction through easy centering and automatic heater clamp.
- Automated fibre retention clamp.
- Loose tube compatibility.
- Tool-less electrodes and illumination.
