Description
The VIAVI VFL-050 is a pocket-sized visual fault locator designed for identifying breaks, bends, poor splices and connector faults in fibre optic cabling. It emits a visible 650nm red laser signal that allows installers to trace fibre routes and pinpoint faults during installation, testing and maintenance.
Suitable for both single-mode and multimode fibre networks, the VFL-050 can be used on a wide range of fibre optic cabling systems in telecoms, data centre, enterprise and FTTx environments. The universal connector interface supports common fibre connector types, reducing the need for additional test equipment on site.
The VFL-050 is commonly used for fibre continuity testing, fibre identification and fault finding before OTDR testing or repair work. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for engineers carrying essential fibre optic test equipment between installations.
Supplied complete with batteries, 1.25mm adapter and protective carry case, allowing immediate use on site.
