The CT60 raises the bar for optical fibre cleavers thanks to its cleaving performance, automatic blade rotation, robustness and new ergonomic design. This is a cleaver that shares the same lineage as the world-renowned CT-30A, which has been developed as a carefully designed partner to the 100S to perform as an integral part of our dual fibre preparation workflow.
Because it’s made for the rigors of real-world working environments, the CT60 is smaller and lighter than our previous cleaver, while being robust. It benefits from an ergonomic design which allows for one-handed operation and easy inspection, cleaning and replacement of the blade, thanks to being able to open at 60 and 80 degrees.
Like its predecessor, the CT60 features Active Blade Management Technology which wirelessly connects it to the splicer. When connected, the CT60 can change the position of the cleaving blade automatically and in response to the cleave quality of the optical fibres as seen and communicated by the fusion splicer. The result is consistently better cleaves and less chance of having to rework splices. Blade adjustment has also been simplified without impacting cleave quality; the CT60 blade does not require its height to be adjusted to complete the maximum amount of cleaves because it has 28 positions from which to achieve an optimum cleave.
