Description
This Excel OS2 singlemode tight buffered fibre cable is designed for internal and external installations where a CPR-compliant backbone is required. It is typically used in LAN and WAN links, building backbones and data centre cabling, and can be installed in trays, ducts and containment systems.
The cable uses 9/125µm OS2 singlemode fibre with 900µm tight buffering (0.85mm nominal), allowing for straightforward stripping and termination on site. It is constructed with E-glass yarn strength members and up to 24 colour-coded fibres, supporting standard structured cabling practices.
The black LSZH (LSOH) outer sheath is UV stabilised, low smoke and halogen-free, making it suitable for indoor use and external routes where limited environmental protection is required. CPR rated to Cca-s1a,d0,a1, it meets current fire performance requirements for public and commercial buildings.
Compatible with standard OS2 connectors, splicing equipment and network hardware, this cable is suitable for structured cabling installations requiring a compliant, tight buffered solution for backbone and distribution networks.
