Description
Enbeam OS2 G.657.A1 aerial fibre cable is an ultra-lightweight loose tube singlemode fibre optic cable for overhead fibre access networks. It is typically used on FTTP/FTTx distribution routes, pole-to-pole spans, external telecoms links and access network builds where a compact, moisture-protected cable is required.
The cable is built with gel-filled micromodules, water-blocking yarn and water-swellable tape beneath a black HDPE outer sheath with yellow stripe marking. Embedded brass-coated steel wire strength members provide mechanical support for aerial installation.
Optical performance is suitable for standard OS2 singlemode network applications, with attenuation of ≤0.35 dB/km at 1310 nm, ≤0.21 dB/km at 1550 nm and ≤0.23 dB/km at 1625 nm.
The G.657.A1 fibre supports improved bend performance while remaining compatible with OS2 singlemode infrastructure. The HDPE sheath and water-blocked construction are intended for external aerial use; installers should confirm CPR/fire requirements before routing through internal building spaces.
