Description
This Excel OS2 singlemode loose tube fibre cable is designed for internal and external installations where higher fibre counts and environmental protection are required. It is typically used for campus backbones, external duct routes, and building-to-building links, as well as LAN and WAN infrastructure.
The cable is constructed with 9/125µm OS2 singlemode fibre housed within a PBT loose tube, filled with non-drip, silicone-free gel to prevent water ingress. Fibres are 250µm primary coated and colour coded to TIA-598-C, supporting standard identification and splicing practices. This construction isolates fibres from external stress, making it suitable for longer runs and outdoor routing.
An E-glass yarn strength member provides tensile support, while the black LSZH sheath offers low smoke emission and halogen-free performance. Rated to CPR Dca-s2,d1,a1, the cable meets fire performance requirements for general building installations while remaining suitable for external use.
Compatible with standard OS2 splicing, joints and termination hardware, this cable is suited to external and backbone installations where fibre protection and stable performance over distance are required.
