Description
Excel OS2 9/125 CST Armoured Loose Tube Fibre Cable is a singlemode external fibre optic cable designed for direct burial, duct and outdoor network installations where additional mechanical protection is required. The corrugated steel tape (CST) armouring provides protection against impact, crushing and rodent damage, making it suitable for campus networks, industrial sites, utilities and external backbone links.
The cable uses a dry loose tube construction with up to 24 colour coded 250 μm fibres housed within a PBT tube and reinforced with E-glass yarn strength members. The black LSZH outer sheath is suitable for installations where low smoke and low halogen performance is required.
Designed for OS2 singlemode applications, the cable supports long-distance data transmission with low attenuation of ≤0.36 dB/km at 1310 nm and ≤0.23 dB/km at 1550 nm. It is compatible with standard singlemode fibre optic equipment, splice enclosures and termination hardware designed for 9/125 μm fibre.
