Description
Excel OM4 50/125 Multimode Tight Buffered Fibre Cable is designed for internal and external fibre optic installations where a compact, durable cable is required. Suitable for backbone links, data centres, campus networks and structured cabling applications, the cable supports high-bandwidth 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb Ethernet transmission over multimode fibre infrastructure.
Constructed with up to 24 colour-coded 900µm tight-buffered OM4 fibres around E-glass strength members, the cable is lightweight and easy to terminate, making it suitable for direct installation into patch panels, fibre enclosures and termination hardware. The black LSZH outer sheath is CPR rated to Cca-s1a,d0,a1 in accordance with EN 13501-6, helping meet fire performance requirements in commercial and public buildings.
The cable is rodent resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor routing where additional mechanical protection is required.
Performance characteristics include attenuation of ≤3.5dB/km at 850nm and effective modal bandwidth of ≥4700 MHz/km at 850nm, supporting high-speed multimode network applications. Compatible with standard OM4 multimode fibre equipment, connectors and splice hardware.
