Description
Excel CST Armoured OM4 50/125µm loose tube fibre optic cable is designed for external and direct burial fibre installations where additional mechanical protection is required. The corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provides protection against impact, crushing and rodent damage, making it suitable for campus networks, duct installations, industrial sites and outdoor backbone links.
The cable construction uses a silica gel-filled loose tube containing up to 24 colour-coded 250µm multimode fibres, with E-glass yarn strength members and an LSZH outer sheath. It is supplied in OM4 50/125 multimode specification for high-bandwidth network applications including 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb Ethernet over supported distances.
Suitable for direct burial when installed with sand backfill.
