Description
The Excel OM4 CST Armoured Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for internal and external installations where additional mechanical and rodent protection is required. The corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provides a robust barrier against physical damage while maintaining a relatively lightweight and flexible construction.
The cable features a dry loose tube design containing up to 24 colour-coded 250µm fibres, surrounded by E-glass yarn strength members and protected by a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) outer sheath. Its blue outer jacket allows easy identification of OM4 multimode fibre installations.
With a CPR Euroclass Cca rating, the cable is suitable for installation in commercial and public buildings where enhanced fire performance is required, including schools, offices, hotels and other occupied premises.
