Description
The Excel OM3 Tight Buffered Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for both internal and external installations. Its tight-buffered construction makes it suitable for direct termination, helping to simplify installation and reduce preparation time compared to loose tube alternatives.
Designed for structured cabling, campus networks, building backbones and data communications infrastructure, the cable contains up to 24 colour-coded 900µm tight-buffered fibres protected by E-glass strength members and a black LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath. The compact, lightweight design allows for straightforward routing through containment systems, risers and service voids.
The cable is CPR rated to EN 13501-6 Cca-s1a,d0,a1, making it suitable for installations where enhanced fire performance is required. The LSZH sheath also helps minimise smoke and corrosive gas emissions in the event of fire. Rodent resistance and a wide operating temperature range make the cable suitable for a variety of internal and external environments.
