Description
The Excel OM3 Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for internal and external network installations. Its lightweight construction and flexible design make it suitable for backbone cabling, campus networks, duct installations and cable tray routing where a non-armoured fibre cable is required.
The cable is constructed around a gel-filled, non-dripping and silicone-free PBT loose tube containing up to 24 colour-coded 250µm primary-coated fibres. Water-blocking E-glass strength members provide mechanical support, while the black LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath offers low smoke performance and is suitable for installations where fire safety is an important consideration.
With a CPR classification of Dca-s2,d2,a1 to EN 13501-6, the cable provides improved fire performance over Eca-rated alternatives while remaining suitable for a wide range of commercial building applications. The water-blocked construction also helps prevent moisture ingress in external installations.
