Description
The Excel OM3 CST Armoured Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for installations requiring additional mechanical and rodent protection. Its corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provides a robust protective layer while keeping the cable relatively compact and easy to handle.
The cable uses a dry PBT loose tube containing up to 24 colour-coded 250µm fibres, with colour coding to TIA-598-C. The tube is protected by glass yarn strength members and 0.15mm ECCS corrugated steel tape armour, then finished with a blue LSZH outer sheath.
With a CPR rating of Cca-s1a,d0,a1 to EN 13501-6, this cable is suitable for commercial and public building installations where enhanced fire performance is required. It is commonly used in schools, offices, hotels, data centres and other structured cabling environments where armoured multimode fibre is specified.
