Description
This Draka OS2 single-mode fibre optic cable is designed for backbone and high-capacity network infrastructure where long-distance transmission and low attenuation are required. It is commonly used in LAN and WAN backbones, data centre interconnects, and central office links.
The cable features a loose tube construction with a central FRP strength member, making it suitable for external duct installation as well as internal tray routing. The gel-filled tubes and water-blocking elements provide protection against moisture ingress, supporting reliable performance in outdoor or mixed environments.
A FireRes® LSZH (low smoke, halogen-free) sheath allows the cable to be installed indoors while meeting fire safety requirements. It is UV stabilised, so it can also be used externally without additional protection.
This cable is suitable for installers requiring a CPR-compliant, indoor/outdoor fibre solution that supports standard single-mode applications, including splicing, patching, and termination with typical OS2 connectivity hardware.
