Description
This OS2 singlemode CST armoured fibre optic cable from Draka (Prysmian) is designed for external and internal backbone installations where mechanical protection is required. It is suitable for LAN and WAN backbones, telecom access networks, FTTP/FTTB deployments and inter-building links.
The cable uses a gel-filled loose tube construction to protect fibres from moisture, combined with E-glass strength members for tensile performance. A corrugated steel tape (CST) armour layer provides resistance to crushing, impact and rodent damage, making it suitable for duct installations and exposed routing. The UV stabilised LSZH (FireBur®) outer sheath supports use in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Compatible with standard OS2 singlemode fibre systems used across UK telecom and data installations. Suitable for duct and tray installation where a CST armoured, LSZH fibre cable is specified.
