Description
Draka OM4 multimode fibre cable is designed for external and internal fibre optic installations including LAN and WAN backbones, fibre-to-the-business (FTTB), telecom access networks and building-to-building links. Its compact loose tube construction makes it suitable for installation in ducts, trays and containment systems where space and handling are important.
The cable uses a gel-filled loose tube containing 2 to 24 OM4 multimode fibres, protected by water-blocked E-Glass strength members and a UV-stabilised FireBur® LSZH sheath. The design provides moisture resistance and a degree of rodent protection, making it suitable for outdoor routing and exposed installations.
Manufactured to ISO 11801-1, EN 50173-1:2011 and IEC 60794-1 standards, the cable is compatible with standard OM4 multimode fibre systems used for 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb Ethernet applications.
The LSZH sheath complies with IEC 60332-1-2, IEC 60754-1, IEC 60754-2 and IEC 61034-2 for flame retardancy, low smoke emission and reduced corrosive gases. Suitable for use with standard multimode fibre splice closures, patch panels and termination hardware.
