Description
The Draka OM3 CST Armoured Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for external network installations where additional mechanical protection is required. The corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provides protection against impact, crushing and rodent damage, making the cable suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
The cable features a gel-filled loose tube containing between 2 and 24 optical fibres, supported by E-glass yarn strength members and protected by 0.15mm corrugated steel tape armour. A UV-stabilised FireBur® LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath provides resistance to weathering while meeting CPR Euroclass Eca fire performance requirements.
Suitable for LAN and WAN backbones, telecom access networks, fibre-to-the-business (FTTB) and fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) installations, the cable can be installed in ducts, cable trays and other external routes where armoured fibre is specified.
