Description
This Draka OS2 single-mode fibre optic cable is a loose tube cable designed for external and internal network infrastructure where reliable long-distance transmission is required. It is typically used in LAN and WAN backbones, telecom access networks, fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) and fibre-to-the-business (FTTBiz) installations.
The compact construction makes it suitable for duct installation, tray routing, and general-purpose outdoor use. Gel-filled loose tubes and water-blocked strength members provide protection against moisture ingress, making it appropriate for exposed or underground environments.
The cable is finished with a UV stabilised FireBur® LSZH sheath, compliant with CPR Class Eca, allowing use where basic fire performance is required while maintaining low smoke and halogen-free characteristics for indoor routing.
This cable is compatible with standard OS2 splicing, termination, and connectivity hardware. Suitable for installers requiring a compact, CPR-compliant fibre cable for duct and external runs, with flexibility to route internally where required.
