Description
The Draka OM3 Tight Buffered Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for internal backbone and data communications applications. Commonly used in LAN and WAN backbones, data centres and central office interconnections, it provides a flexible solution for high-speed fibre optic networks within commercial and enterprise environments.
The cable is constructed with 2 to 24 tightly buffered 900µm fibres, protected by E-glass strength members and a UV-stabilised LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath. The enhanced ES9 tight buffer design supports easier handling and termination, making it suitable for installation on cable trays, within building risers and in ducted internal routes.
The sheath is water and moisture resistant and meets CPR Euroclass Eca requirements, providing compliance with current European fire performance standards. The cable is manufactured in accordance with recognised industry standards including ISO 11801, EN 50173-1 and IEC 60794-2.
