Description
This OS2 singlemode SWA loose tube fibre optic cable is designed for external installations where mechanical protection and durability are required. It is suitable for direct burial, ducts and other exposed environments, providing reliable performance in harsh site conditions.
The cable construction consists of a central gel-filled loose tube containing up to 24 fibres, offering protection against moisture ingress. Aramid yarn strength members provide tensile support, while the galvanised steel wire armour (SWA) adds resistance to impact, crushing and rodent damage. A dual LSZH (FRNC) sheath construction ensures low smoke and halogen-free performance, suitable for installations where fire safety is a consideration.
Commonly used for fibre backbone links, inter-building connections, FTTP infrastructure and site networks where the cable may be buried or exposed to mechanical stress.
Compatible with standard OS2 singlemode fibre systems used in UK telecom and data network installations. Suitable for direct burial without additional ducting where site conditions allow.
