This OS2 SWA loose tube fibre cable from Connectix is suitable for direct burial installs, making it a great choice for harsh environments. It provides great tensile strength and the 0.9mm layer of steel wire makes it extremely rodent proof.
The cable is constructed from a central jelly filled green polyester tube with up to 24 optical fibres within. This tube is protected with aramid strength members and a 1.1mm thick low smoke zero halogen outer sheath and a 0.9mm layer of galvanised wire amour. This is then surrounded by a 1.5mm low smoke zero halogen outer jacket.
