Description
This OS2 loose tube fibre optic cable is designed for external and internal installations where durability and flexibility are required, and where termination is typically completed via on-site fusion splicing. It is suitable for backbone links, duct installations and building entry runs where environmental protection and fire performance are both important.
The construction uses a central loose tube containing colour-coded 250μm fibres, allowing straightforward identification during splicing. The tube is reinforced with E-glass strength members to provide mechanical protection, and finished with a black LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath for use in areas where fire safety and low smoke emission are required.
This cable is commonly used in telecoms networks, campus infrastructure and commercial fibre installations requiring OS2 singlemode performance for long-distance transmission.
The cable is moisture resistant and suitable for external routing, including ducts and entry points into buildings.
Compatible with standard fusion splicing equipment and fibre management systems, this cable integrates easily into existing singlemode infrastructure.
