Description
The Connectix OS2 9/125 CST armoured loose tube fibre cable is designed for external and harsh environment installations where additional mechanical protection is required. Suitable for duct, tray and direct routing applications, it provides high tensile strength and crush resistance for backbone and long-distance fibre runs in commercial, industrial and campus networks.
The cable construction consists of a central jelly-filled loose tube containing up to 24 OS2 singlemode fibres. Kevlar strength members and corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provide protection against impact, crushing and rodent damage, while the LSZH outer sheath makes it suitable for installations where low smoke and halogen-free performance is required.
With OS2 9/125 singlemode fibre, the cable supports high bandwidth transmission over long distances and is compatible with standard singlemode fibre equipment, splicing and termination hardware.
The LSZH sheath conforms to IEC 60332-1, IEC 61034 and IEC 60754 standards for flame retardancy, smoke emission and halogen content, helping meet common commercial building and public sector installation requirements.
