Description
Connectix OM4 SWA Loose Tube Fibre Cable is designed for external fibre optic installations where mechanical protection and direct burial capability are required. Commonly used for campus links, site-to-site connections, industrial environments and external backbone cabling, the cable is suitable for installations exposed to moisture, impact and rodent risk.
The cable features a central jelly-filled loose tube containing up to 24 OM4 multimode optical fibres, protected by aramid strength members and galvanised steel wire armour (SWA). The double LSZH/FRNC jacket construction provides additional protection while maintaining compliance with low smoke and halogen-free requirements for safer installation in populated areas and buildings.
With a maximum tensile strength of 4000N and crush resistance rated to 4000N/10cm, the cable is designed for demanding outdoor routing and underground applications.
The LSZH jacket complies with IEC 60332-1, IEC 61034 and IEC 60754 standards for flame retardancy, low smoke emission and reduced corrosive gases.
Compatible with standard OM4 multimode fibre hardware, splice closures and external fibre termination systems, this cable is suitable for high-bandwidth network applications including 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb Ethernet infrastructure.
