Description
Connectix OM4 multimode 50/125µm CST armoured loose tube fibre optic cable is designed for external and harsh environment installations where additional mechanical protection is required. The corrugated steel tape (CST) armour provides increased crush resistance and protection against physical damage, making it suitable for campus networks, industrial sites, duct installations and other demanding outdoor applications.
The cable construction consists of a central jelly-filled loose tube containing up to 24 OM4 optical fibres. The fibres are protected by glass yarn strength members, water-swellable yarn and ECCS steel tape armour, all enclosed within a blue LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath.
The LSZH jacket complies with IEC 60332-1, IEC 61034 and IEC 60754 standards, making it suitable for installations where reduced smoke emission and halogen-free materials are specified.
This cable is compatible with standard OM4 multimode fibre optic networking equipment and is suitable for high-speed Ethernet, data centre interconnects and backbone network applications requiring enhanced physical protection.
