Description
The Connectix OM3 Tight Buffered Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for both indoor and outdoor network installations. Its tight-buffered construction allows for straightforward termination, making it suitable for LAN and WAN backbones, data centres, communications rooms and structured cabling applications.
The cable is manufactured with OM3 multimode fibre to ITU-T G.651 standards and incorporates glass yarn strength members for additional mechanical protection. A UV-stabilised, water and moisture-resistant LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath provides durability in a range of installation environments while helping to minimise smoke and corrosive gas emissions in the event of fire.
With a CPR classification of Cca-s1a,d0,a1, the cable offers enhanced fire performance compared to standard Eca-rated fibre cables, making it suitable for commercial buildings and other installations where stricter fire regulations apply.
