Description
The Connectix OM3 Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for internal and external installations where fusion splicing is the preferred termination method. Its central uni-tube construction makes it suitable for backbone links, campus networks, building-to-building fibre runs and structured cabling projects.
The cable contains individually colour-coded 250µm buffered fibres within a single loose tube. This tube is surrounded by E-glass rovings for tensile support and protected by a black FRNC/LSZH outer jacket, helping to reduce smoke and corrosive gas emissions in the event of fire.
With a compact 6.4 ± 0.5mm outside diameter and 49kg/km nominal weight, the cable is easy to route through ducts, trays and containment. It is moisture resistant and suitable for protected outdoor use, while the Eca reaction to fire rating supports use in appropriate internal installations.
