Description
The Connectix OM3 CST Armoured Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is a 50/125µm multimode fibre cable designed for installations where enhanced mechanical protection is required. Featuring corrugated steel tape (CST) armour, the cable provides protection against crushing, impact and rodent damage, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor environments.
The cable is constructed around a central jelly-filled loose tube containing up to 24 optical fibres. Glass yarn strength members and a water-swellable yarn moisture barrier help protect the fibres from installation stresses and water ingress. The assembly is reinforced with 0.15mm ECCS corrugated steel tape armour and finished with a blue LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath.
Its combination of crush resistance, moisture protection and CPR-compliant sheath materials makes the cable suitable for commercial, industrial and campus network installations where durability and fire safety are important considerations.
