Description
This 1G 1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver provides Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over twisted-pair copper cabling at distances of up to 100m. Its RJ45 interface connects to Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a Ethernet cabling, allowing a compatible SFP port to connect to copper network equipment.
Designed for supported 1G SFP ports, the module is suitable for switch-to-switch links and connections to routers, servers and other devices with Gigabit RJ45 interfaces. Typical applications include enterprise networks, data centres and communications cabinets where copper connectivity is required.
The compact SFP format provides an additional RJ45 connection without replacing the host equipment. Its hot-pluggable design allows installation and replacement in supported equipment without powering down the host, helping simplify network maintenance and changes to port connectivity.
The transceiver supports 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet, as defined by IEEE 802.3ab. Use with correctly installed Cat5e or higher-category cabling and a compatible Gigabit Ethernet port at the opposite end. The maximum 100m channel length includes the installed cable and patch leads, with achievable performance dependent on cable quality, termination and installation conditions.
Transceivers are coded in-house and dispatched from our UK warehouse. Select the compatibility option required for your equipment. Check that the host supports a 1000BASE-T copper SFP and the selected coding before installation. Support for lower connection speeds, such as 10Mbps or 100Mbps, depends on the module and host equipment and should be confirmed separately. If you need help choosing, contact us with your equipment make and model before ordering.

Stand out with custom branding
Make your transceivers easily identifiable!
We can design and print custom labels for your transceivers, incorporating your company logo, part codes, asset references or project details.
Whether you need your own branding or clearer identification for installation and maintenance, we can tailor the label layout to your requirements.
We are able to provide this service free of charge due to our in-house production team.
Contact our team once you place your order to discuss your artwork and the information you’d like included.
Please note: complex artwork production may add 1-2 days to your lead time.
Tested for reliable connectivity
Compatibility, optical performance and stability checks help ensure your transceivers are ready for reliable operation. We perform the following tests on all our compatible 1G LH/LX transceivers for your peace of mind.
Host interoperability
Checks that the transceiver is recognised and operates correctly in the network equipment used for testing.
Link rate verification
Confirms that the copper connection establishes a working link at the specified 1Gbps speed.
Module identification
Checks that the host can read the transceiver’s identification information, including part number and serial number.
Ethernet throughput
Passes traffic through the connection to assess achieved bandwidth during data transfer.
Packet loss
Reviews traffic counters for dropped packets and CRC errors that can indicate transmission problems.
Operational stability
Runs traffic continuously to check for connection interruptions and errors during sustained operation.
