Description

Draka OM4 multi-mode fibre optic cable is a loose tube armoured fibre cable designed for external and internal backbone installations. Suitable for LAN and WAN backbones, telecom access networks, fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) and fibre-to-the-business (FTTB) applications, it is commonly used where additional mechanical protection is required.

The cable features gel-filled loose tube construction with OM4 multi-mode fibres and corrugated steel tape armouring for added protection against impact and rodent damage. Its universal design allows installation in ducts, trays and external containment systems. When installed with suitable sand backfilling, the cable can also be used for direct burial applications.

The UV stabilised FireBur® LSZH sheath is compliant with CPR Class Eca requirements, making the cable suitable for installations where low smoke and halogen-free performance is specified.

Compatible with standard OM4 fibre optic hardware including splice enclosures, patch panels and fibre termination systems. Suitable for high-speed multi-mode applications including 10GbE, 40GbE and 100GbE network infrastructure.
